At Rutgers University School of Engineering, we’re proud of our diverse student body and warmly welcome international students. In addition to the standard application materials, international students should submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores with the following minimum scores*:

  • TOEFL internet-based test – minimum average score of 85 (90 preferred), no subscore below 17 for listening, 21 for reading, 23 for speaking, and 22 for writing
  • IELTS – Band 7
  • Duolingo – average 105

*International students who have graduated from an English-speaking school or from a school in the U.S. may be eligible to waive this requirement.

Since this program is offered entirely online, international students are not eligible for student visas.
